Ashley Harwyn, PA-C

Owner/Physician Assistant

Ashley Harwyn, the founder and owner of Solcara Health, graduated from Medical University of South Carolina with honors in 2013. Soon after, she worked in various indigent areas and third world countries, providing a unique medical perspective that unites people globally.

Additionally, Ashley has extensive experience in women and men's hormone and testosterone management and has successfully treated thousands of patients

.Ashley is presently finishing a fellowship in anti-aging and functional medicine through A4M and is a member of several medical associations.

Ashley's personal health struggles and her observations of healthcare inefficiencies in various settings inspired her to create Solcara Health. Her practice is rooted in a holistic, multidisciplinary treatment philosophy that focuses on the whole person, not just their ailments. She believes everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of their background. The practice's slogan, "Lively Up Your Health," reflects Ashley's commitment to providing precise, intimate, and effective care while infusing each patient's journey with positivity and a smile.‍

Ashley moved to Mount Pleasant, SC from Maui, Hawaii and has lived and traveled globally, bringing a unique perspective to her medical care. In addition to operating a thriving, full time medical practice, Ashley is a dedicated wife with two incredible daughters.

Katherine Cline, NP

Kat is a former critical care nurse turned Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor’s in nursing from Medical University of South Carolina and her Master’s at the University of South Carolina. In addition to her acute care background, she has experience in aesthetics as an advanced practice registered nurse.

Her education and clinical background allow her to evaluate and treat Solcara Health patients to their greatest advantage. In her new role here at Solcara Health, Kat brings the same level of enthusiasm to our clients as she has to countless patients previously.

Her new primary focus is weight loss and bioidentical hormone replacement. She believes that holistic care, an approach that focuses on the whole person, is essential for well-being and utilizes this approach for herself and her loved ones.

Kat understands that there are sensitive health topics, such as weight gain and symptoms of hormone imbalance, that patients may not feel comfortable discussing. She works with her patients during these delicate and personal discussions to find an option to help them feel and be the healthiest they can. Kat provides the best care to the patients under her care.

Outside of the office Kat can be found dedicating her time to medical mission trips serving the underprivileged in rural Africa. She also enjoys being out on the water here in Charleston, indulging in local eateries, attending live musical concerts, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Megan Book, RN

Megan graduated from the University of South Carolina, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She began her journey in the ICU at Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Throughout her experience there, she started developing skills in the area of critical care.

This knowledge helped inspire her to take the next step in her career: travel nursing. Travel nursing allowed her to expand even further upon those skills while also getting to experience a lifelong dream of traveling. While these career choices led to some unforgettable memories, Megan constantly desired to work in the area of aesthetic nursing.

In 2022, Megan joined an amazing team of providers who shared her passion for making people feel and look their best. She truly loves the challenge of assisting her patients in developing individualized treatment plans to achieve their desired goals, so she quickly found her calling in facial aesthetics and injectables. She believes in enhancing her patients’ natural appearance by using her aesthetic procedure knowledge. She has excelled in her advanced training of injectables, medical-grade skincare, micro-needling, and laser treatments.

Outside of work, Megan's favorite place to be is outside. She lives in Charleston, SC, with her husband and spends all her free time at the beach and traveling.

Star Fox

Starr Fox has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. Starr was introduced to the beauty world watching her mom do hair growing up. Her gift to gab and love of people only added to why this was the perfect career choice for her.

After owning a salon and traveling the country teaching other stylists to cut, color and style, Starr found her passion for hair loss and alternative hair. Seeing the emotional journey that hair loss can be, she found that helping and educating people that are experiencing hair loss is what she loves most.

Starr has been trained by the top alternative hair companies in the world and is attending The World of Trichology Institute. Her knowledge in the beauty industry and Trichology brings the best non surgical solutions to Solcara Health in Charleston, SC

Chris received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1998 from Life University in Marietta, GA. He has owned as well as managed multiple business throughout his career and founded SlimRx in 2016. Chris has a passion with helping people lose weight. He believes that it is important to understand a patient’s life and habits to best treat them.

“Humans are really complex and therefore, customized solutions are needed to help that person and fit their lifestyle”.

Chris has been helping people heal and lose weight for 25 years. You have to see and understand what is going on with a person to help them get lasting results, you have to help the body, mind and spirit at the same time.

Dr. Patrick Scott Lovegrove is a highly esteemed physician and the founder of Merge Medical, a leading integrative medicine clinic located in Mt Pleasant, SC. With a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals achieve optimal health and wellness, Dr. Lovegrove has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive and personalized care to his patients.

Dr. Lovegrove is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has over 20 years of clinical experience in Family Practice, Anti-aging, Holistic Internal Medicine, Pain Management, Aerospace, Sports, and Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Lovegrove has practiced in a wide range of specialties and locations: Virginia, Florida, Family and Emergency Medicine in Korea, Aerospace Medicine in Texas, a flight surgeon in an airbase in Germany, plus multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan, England, Portugal, Italy, and Qatar. He was honored with Accommodation and Meritorious Service medals with an oak leaf cluster.

Dr. Lovegrove's expertise lies in the field of functional medicine, a holistic approach that addresses the root causes of illness and aims to restore balance and vitality to the body. With extensive training and experience in this field, he combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based alternative therapies to create individualized treatment plans that promote healing and long-term well-being.

Dr. Lovegrove lives with his wife and three young children in Charleston, South Carolina. They enjoy family bike rides, reading together, and visiting the local parks and restaurants. They stay active in their community and church.

Kristina brings over fifteen years of experience in healthcare to her role as Patient Management Coordinator at Solcara Health. Her unwavering commitment to patient care has been the cornerstone of her career, marked by her extensive work as a phlebotomist and medical support specialist in both hospital settings and private physician practices.

Her deep medical knowledge and refined skills extend beyond phlebotomy to encompass all aspects of patient intake processes. Kristina is dedicated to ensuring each patient's well-being and safety, consistently striving to create a positive and supportive environment.

Kristina views her position as a profound responsibility and honor, contributing to the health and wellness of the South Carolina community through her work at Solcara Health. Her compassionate nature and genuine care for others are evident in her interactions, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

Outside of her professional life, Kristina’s love for all living creatures, especially domestic felines, shines through. She enjoys spending her free time traveling and immersing herself in nature, where she finds inspiration and relaxation

Jennifer started with Slim Rx in June of 2018 (which then partnered with Solcara Health in 2022). She brings with her over 20 years of customer service and project management experience. Jennifer started as a Slim Rx patient, successfully losing over 45 pounds.

Being a patient first, gives her a unique perspective in her understanding of the patient experience. She works to ensure Slim Rx, Ageless Rx, and Solcara Health are constantly improving to provide patients with the best possible experience.

Jennifer says "It has been exciting watching the business grow to add Ageless Rx and Solcara Health. Knowing we provide an exceptional patient experience is so rewarding.”

Jennifer is married and has two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travel, and the many outdoor activities the Lowcountry has to offer.

Sara has been a front desk receptionist for 6 years. She was previously a Salon coordinator in Boston, MA. As the saying goes, "you can take the girl out of Boston, but you can’t take Boston out of the girl".

Sara brings exciting energy and laughter into everything she does. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, watching Boston sports games and spending time with her cat, Kitty.
